ahhh new character. i need to stop this tomfoolery.
um, so yes. i decided to start making refs of new characters because it ends up being a problem later when i don't have them. ene and i don't enjoy having to go back and draw them all way later.

age ???? ( they don't age like normal humans, so this hasn't been decided yet ) ( appears early-mid twenties )
species merfolk/some unspecified kind of seahorse

personality he's intelligent, confident, but not cocky. he's well-aware that he's well-read and much smarter ( at least in the way of book smarts ) than the average person, and he's not particularly afraid to slap it in your face if he feels the need. often times, he doesn't need to--most are perfectly aware of their lesser intellectual stance. he's a bit overbearing, and a bit ocd about things, and even if he doesn't have the greater physical strength, that's never stopped him from exerting his authority. when it comes down to it, though, he's more apt to pick flight over fight. he'd much rather give you a verbal smack down from a safe distance than physically confront you, or just give you the silent treatment.

extras he lives in an underwater town filled with other merpeople, and is the unofficial librarian of the town's public library. it's very much public--as far as anyone knows, it doesn't belong to anyone, but people still seem to credit it to seamus anyway, probably because he's always there. he basically lives there, having run away from an abusive home, and took up learning as much as he could from books. aided by the use of mediocre magicks, most of which are self-learned, he's managed to read and remember the location of every book in the place. he's very protective of them, probably because he doesn't really have anything better to do with his time. the merpeople in the town have the ability to shift between their merperson self and a human visage; seamus prefers to be human, the main reason because he can get around better that way. he's a sucky swimmer, thanks to his seahorse heritage.
