Another cross over. this time i only went half way with the characters, leaving Guy-Manuel de Homem-Chrito as himself but replacing Thomas Bangalter with Perrine. I tried to convey surprise through his helmet as well as a little embarrassment when he sees that under his friends helmet is the French Witch. I put these two together because Perrine is from Gallia, the equivalent of France, and Daft Punk's members are French as well. Though it isn't classic rock I enjoy their music very much. they have a very cool way of looking at how music is listened to and enjoyed. They don't wear the helmets because they are looking for attention, but to completely disconnect a face from their music. It allows the listener to listen to just the music when you don't see who is behind it. Their Helmets are very cool though, kind of reminds me of a halo helmet, but a little more colorful. the helmets were very difficult to color because they are basically a mirror all around. The reflection was very difficult to mimic. I spent so much time on the helmets i just went flat black on the jackets, I'm lazy.
These guys are great and if you haven't listened to their lesser known stuff I highly recommend it. Everyone hears Get lucky all over the radio but they have much so many better songs. Pretty much anything on their new album is hit, and that's really hard to do.
I may take all the band pictures and compile them into a calender, that's a good stretch goal. what do you think? I still have to do The doors, the rolling stones, the who, and maybe billy Joel/ Elton john. Anything you want to see?
