Ever go back and watch a show you used to love when you were a kid? There's my dilemma. See, as a kid, I didn't realize the character depth and development and the awesome story line. I was just watching it for the pretty explosions and childish jokes. They need to bring 'Teen Titans' back to T.V.
Now, you may be looking at this and be going 'That's not the Titans...' WRONG! Not the conventional Titans, but an alternate version. It's for a fanfiction I'm writing called 'Now You Know My Pain.'
Here's the gist of it:
When the new Villain, Gender Bender, comes to down, the Titans find themselves in an odd situation. They've been turned into the opposite gender against their will! Now in order to change back, they must learn to understand the gender they've turned into. Rated T for obvious reasons. A great read if you've ever wondered why girls or guys do (blank).

And now for the boring stuff. I had the appearance of the Titans written in the story already, but when I drew this, I fudged alittle. Hehe.
Going from shortest to tallest, Beast Boy was a really ugly girl in my opinion. That is, until I drew her. I tried to keep the uniform similar to his original, but this looks more mature...then to simply put her in a jump suit. I don't think I got the skin tone quite right, but whateve's.
Raven was a challenge. I wrote that his uniform didn't change much, but APPARENTLY it did. Her normal uniform is a blue/purple (colorblind) cloak over a black leotard. And while I could have easily draw him with a cloak, I thought the jacket looked better. And I would bet that Raven secretly wishes she had pockets.
Robin. My FAVORITE character and I ruined it! His mask has always given me trouble, but I think it makes her face look stupid in this. Especially since she has no eyebrows. In the story, Robin hates what his uniform gets changed to so she wears an alternate costume. "If catwoman can fight in thigh high, leather heels, so can I!" And she's obscenely pale.
Holy Six Pack Starfire! Total Vogue model right there. His uniform pretty much stayed the same, save for the legs. I used her brother Ryand'r as reference. The metallic parts were SUPER fun and look at how shiny he is!
Speaking of Shiny, Cyborg's update took the longest. It's kinda easy to see why. Most of the characters had one layer for lineart and one for colour. Star had an extra layer for all the metal. Cyborg had five layers. One for lineart, one for the skin tone, one for the white and blue, one for the silver and one for all the shine.
All in all, I think this was a successful piece, as I practiced my fashion poses. And I finally was motivated to draw. YES.
