My dear P-E-A-K: Thanks for your wondrous
comments. It's mightily grand to see real
paint - isn't it? I picked one of your non-
florals, the straw hut, as a favorite. I belonged
to W/C societies in the '90s and did very well,
with awards and such. Painting reality. But,
now I add a digital touch to my W/Cs which of
course doesn't set well with clubs. Strictly
speaking, some of the digital art on this site
are truly amazing, but NOTHING BEATS real PAINT.
It was nice to receive your comments. I'm really
not sure how one finds anybody on this large
site. Anyway...have fun with you great talent.

And you are most welcome re: comments - I find your works quite amazing. Although I do prefer "real paint"; as fantastic as some of the digital works are, I always find it such a pity that they only exist on a computer! Old-fashioned, I know
Finding interesting people on DA can seem a bit daunting at first. One good way: look through people's Favorite Galleries; you'll discover a lot of talent, I promise!
Another way: click on the DeviantArt logo, upper left corner of your screen. That will take you to the central register for all deviations. Then click on the category that interests you and browse the submissions. True, there's a lot of inferior stuff, but that makes the good works stand out all the more

Many thanks for the two excellent suggestions. I didn't know about the
Deviantart Logo - upper left. I'll try that...although, being rather
old fashioned, I'd rather get off the computer...and do art, read or play
the piano, go for a walk etc etc. I am no longer a youngster. thank god!
