Just came back from the Flash Forward conferanse in Austin, Texas. Vi rented a car and drove around for a week or so.Related content

yup =/ unfortunately almost every single one was torn down. I live right by the water near kemah and I haven't been fishing there in a while until just recently. We took the boat out and ran alll along the shore line. I actually know this particular spot to where the photo was taken. Its decimated. The worst part is that no one is rebuilding them..so it looks like a run down ghost town from the water looking in. Did you ever have a chance to see the old Governor of Texas' mansion? Its a huge white one with one of the best piers. Its gone completely. Theres also lots of sunken boats all about. Kinda sad. What makes it worse is that there are so many random sunken boats, that other boaters passing through dont even know where they are so crashes occur. It has caused even more sunken boats. I guess I'm just a bit bummed because when we go out fishing its always relaxed and the same, now it looks depressing.

Aaah, im really sorry to hear that. We rented a house there.. something blabla Kipps house? Not sure. I think I saw the Governor of Texas mansion, but not sure. Lots of big wonderful houses along where we lived.
I guess time will fix the area..

wow you drove around quite a bit to get to kemah from austin. i love kemah. i've always meant to go there and take pictures of all the old boats.
