I've very interested in how you actually managed to pull off these colors though. Since you said you didn't Photoshop the colors, my first guess would be (yellow/green) lens filters?
Also, if you don't mind all the questions, what camera do you use for most of your shots?

Glad you like it - this is actually one of the newest subway-stations where I live (Oslo, Norway). The glass surrounding the stairs pulsate different light every 10 second or so - thus the weird colors.
At the moment I use a Canon 10d with various of lenses.

Must have some really interesting culture up there to have subways like that!
I need to get myself a true dSLR like that some time; I'm using a Minolta Dimage A2, which is a psudo-dSLR, but the lack of completely interchangeable lenses is frustrating.

the uniqueness is the red rings around the escalator's teeth.
