----------------

The Aurata model tank was named after a species of bat with specially long snouts after someone pointed out after someone pointed out that the strangely-shaped turret had a resemblance.

The design is optimized for long range engagements as the turret traverse speed is low but the optics are of the highest quality. The four-man tank utilizes a low profile and sloped armour to maximise protection. Enshawdian doctrine places high value in the lives of their soldiers (mostly because of how few people actually volunteer to the armed forces) and so the engine was moved to the front so as to act as another layer of protection, at the cost of lowering the durability of the tank. To compensate, front and side armour is largely reinforced.

the top mounted machinegun is water cooled and a larger caliber than normal, it is also belt fed from inside the tank since it is intended to fight light armoured vehicles, saving the cannon for harder targets as it carries few shells.

as it stands, the tank's major weak spot is the turret side armour, as the turret's back is deceptively armoured.

this particular one belongs to the 8th armoured 'the sinners' division.

doing this one was mostly 'smooth riding' though I had to stop to fix some mistakes early on. I'm mostly curious on how the splash effect looks to you guys, since I had to improv there. also, I missed lineart.

EDIT: following some advice I re-did the splash and also updated the lighting and extended the rear while I was at it.  I want to say thanks to and

Nice. It's like this wonderful Amx-13 meets Merkava combination that is pretty cool.

As far as the water, it comes off as more of a mist then a splash. I'm not sure if that's what you are going for, but that's how it feels, haha

Other mild concern, the tank seems a tad short. It could use some extra length at the rear, imo

ehm yeah, perhaps I made it shorter when fixing some perspective. if I ever do some kind of blueprint style thingy I'll make it more proportionate

I was going for something like this scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.… but I have no idea how to

The lighting on the mist is slightly too red, but the concentration and movement of the water looks awesome! Great job

It's looking a lot better. Keep up the good work!

The main thing is there's no clear line of action, everything looks like it's kinda floating. Notice how in the reference image the splash is moving outwards from where the treads are hitting and throwing up the mud.

You can try using a blur or something to force motion lines into the splash. EDIT: Also make sure you add in varying colour weights too so it doesn't look like one loose floating cloud. Right now it looks like the entire thing is settled lightly around  the base of the tank. Add more mud splashes to where the mud is flying

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the splash you have now could serve a good base (:
