If something went missing due to humans they should still be included IMHO...part of the same ecosystem, and leaving them out gives the false impression this is the pristine standard, which harms conservation and restoration efforts

Unless of course this isn't intended to be the standard for rewilding

We don’t know if they were killed off by hoomans. Climate Change could have had an effect as well (probably a mix of both though)

In Eurasia climate did play a significant role (unlike in other parts of the world where it was a minor or non-factor). Still tho
