Very beautiful God certainly blessed you with an amazing gift. Personally I don't believe this shroud is what was used based on descriptions in the Bible of how He was buried. Just another hoax to bring in the masses to a universal religion. None the less, you've done an excellent job recreating a female version of what is depicted on it. It's a beautiful piece.

The Shroud is not a hoax. If ever it was a hoax, it is made by Satan or some of his cronies.

The descriptions in the Bible about Jesus' burial can be matched to the Shroud- the Jews wrapped their dead bodies in a long winding sheet, secured with bands of linen. Hence the Bible says that Jesus was either
-wrapped in linen
-bound with strips of linen
-wrapped in a shroud of linen
-wrapped in linen cloths.

Basically the Bible is refering to the same burial method in different terminology. There are linen bands preserved in churches claiming to be the original bands used to wrap Jesus' dead body. And after my research on the Shroud, I believe that the Shroud has an incredibly high chance of being the real burial Shroud of Jesus. Or, as you say, it is a hoax(but) made by Satan or his demons to deceive. Sometimes Satan can take very harmless or divine objects(like the Shroud or certain images of Jesus, His mother, the saints, &c.) to deceive the people of God and lead them away from the Bible.

Featured your exquisite painting here:  Always Wandering HomeGreetings, my faithful fellow artists and watchers.  Today's feature is not chosen from my watchers, but primarily from my watched, old and new.  I will do another watchers feature soon.  I know we move forward, but I do not want to forget the joy of what we found to be good in the past.  We grow--everything we pass through leaves its mark on us, whether scars or laugh lines--and we become gradually more beautiful the more we love. May the light of love give you peace in your wanderings, though we be far from our ultimate home, may we not become too weary, but stop, rest awhile, and feel the gentle warmth of our Father's love and approval.  I'll be offline a few days, in Taos, I hope, for that rest I spoke of.  A blessed weekend to you all, and do please listen to the gorgeous song at the end. Love, Debra
Have a most blessed week!  -Debra

Impressive!

Many people make pictures of her, but I've never before seen anyone use the shroud as their inspiration. So clever! And the result is beautiful. (Not as in "she's drop-dead gorgeous," but as in the painting is beautiful.)

Congratulations on doing so well.
