Though it does make you wonder about how non-Asari parents are treated in the legal sense. With the taboo of having a child with another Asari (or Krogan), most Asari are going to grow up with only their mother. It is simple biology considering their lifespans.
Maybe access to an Asari daughter depends solely on the mother's allowance, otherwise it is kind of horrifying to think of a legal statue that to give potential custody of a child to caretakers she could outlive multiple times before she even becomes an adult.
Add in that Asari 'randomized' their own DNA based off their partners, I doubt there is a way to test to see who the 'father' actually is.
Makes you wonder how much that 'pureblood' stigma is crap considering that the majority of Asari are raised in and around other Asari in the Republics. Taking an Asari bondmate is not taboo, only having a child with another Asari is.
And I dug way to deep into a daytime tv joke.
Still your comic always makes me think.

I remember Liara saying that it is common for Asari to be single mothers, especially since they outlive most of their husbands by 1000 years. I assumed that Asari were immune to the anxiety of raising a kid on their own, but I guess even they can feel overwhelmed or even afraid of being a single parent.
Also, I wonder what the Turian’s medallion is supposed to represent. My guess is a badge or symbol of office.

Yes, but not all Asari are the same. For example in ME3 there was an Asari that was having an affair with a married woman, but didn't want to take resposibility for it, so not all Asari are being good people. And also some Asari decide to stay with their partners like the Asari in ME2 which can decide to spend rest of her life with the romantic Krogan. Although there is a stereotype of Asari society, all Asari are different.

Maybe it was staged, or maybe it was based on real court case. You would have to ask the creators of this show to find out.

;] cecha Internetu.
