One of the MANY jumping spiders that hangs around my front porch.
I simply love these comical and intelligent little spiders. How can you not love such a cute fuzzy face like this with those HUGE eyes? I gladly welcome them too b/c, since my house is right next to a lake, they help to keep the numbers of mosquitoes and other small harmful insects down. It's not the best shot but considering the size of this little guy (that is a window screen he is on) and the camera I am using I think it turned out ok.Related content

I am honestly terrified of spiders.
This photo made me jump, but I couldn't look away.
I love the way it looks like he is staring at the camera, how you can see the web covering the screen in the bottom corner.
Its a stunning shot, though it was probably difficult.

I'm afraid of spiders but this little guy is cute! I don't mind the smaller ones and occasionally let them go free in my room (as in the summer I get numerous mosquitoes that bit me all the time)I want to pet this one he looks all fuzzy...

I can understand the fear of some of them. Some can give you a world of hurt if they bite you. But these little jumpers are totally harmless and just have such cute faces.

Dawwww! I love jumping spiders! There are a ton around my area in the summer too and when I find them in the house I scoop them into a glass and take them outside. I just find them too flippen cute.

Yeah I can understand how some people can be afraid of them. There is a fear out there for everything...even frogs! But I think a lot of it is misunderstanding of the thing. A lot of people fear spiders b/c they are afraid they are gonna get bit. Some spiders can bite and leave a nasty wound. But these little guys are harmless.

Haha! I am mean to people who say nasty things about bugs. I don't get how someone can say "I want to kill it so badly" and not think that there is anything wrong with them.
I'm a pacifist myself, I won't even uproot weeds.

I can understand a fear but yeah to say they want to just kill it is wrong. I am not too fond of maggots but they have their place in life and I wouldn't just kill them for no reason. Will not go within 10 feet of them but I still will not kill them senselessly.

Cute caterpillars are fine...I don't know what it is with those white things. I'm not too keen on mealworms either...but I think it's b/c they remind me of maggots. Turtles love to eat them tho!

Some you can. I've had different species crawl on me and they didn't hurt me. You just gotta know which ones can hurt you and which ones can't. A lot of the ones I come across would only hurt you if you try to eat them...other then that their "hairs" can't hurt your skin.
