I love pinecones. Especially around Christmas time they have them in a bag and smell so wonderful.

Thank you sweet Doll! These particular pincones come from Carolina pine trees that can live up to 150 yrs old. The cones can grow about 12 inches long and 6-8 inches wide. When I lived in South Florida, I couldn't believe that they were being sold and people were actually buying them. All I had to do, was go to my parents house in SC and find hundreds of them. Maybe I should have chosen a different career, lol.

You are so welcome. My goodness that is a long time. Do you have a photo of how they look on the trees?  I buy them every year as I display them on my coffee table.... they carry a beautiful scent to them. Do these have a scent also or is it something that people do to given them that wonderful scent every Christmas.

I can try to get some pics, but will probably have to wait for cooler weather. Where these trees are near my Dad's house...an area that houses water moccasins and gators.
