Description Meanwhile, at the Autobot boot camp on Cybertron, the vast expanse of training grounds buzzed with the energy of new recruits honing their skills. In the mess hall, Altair Comet, the daughter of Optimus Prime, was quietly putting away her empty Energon cube, her thoughts a million miles away. Her mentor, Sentinel Prime, a former member of the Elite Guard, ex-acting Magnus, and longstanding rival of her father, approached her with a calculated smile.

"Hey, Altair," Sentinel Prime greeted, his tone deceptively warm.

Altair turned, her optics lighting up briefly. "Oh, hi, Sentinel."

"How's my favorite star pupil today?" he asked, his voice dripping with feigned affection.

Altair shrugged, a hint of melancholy in her posture. "Um, pretty good, I guess."

Sentinel Prime's optics softened, a subtle act of concern. "What's wrong?"

She sighed, her gaze dropping to the floor. "I miss my father. I wonder if he'll come back to see me again. I especially miss my mother."

Sentinel Prime placed a hand on her shoulder, his touch gentle but firm. "Your mother was a brave Autobot cadet. She may have died a long time ago, but she will never be forgotten. You, Altair Comet, are what is left of her legacy. I didn't know you were related to Elita-One until you had your family reunion with Optimus Prime."

Altair's optics widened slightly at the mention of her mother. "Why did you make me your star student?"

Sentinel Prime's smile widened, a glint of something darker lurking in his optics. "Because I feel like I should honor Elita-One's memory by training her daughter to become a fine female Autobot warrior. You know, your mother and I go way back. I was close friends with your mother and father when we were very young. We trained at the Autobot Academy together."

"You did?" Altair's voice was filled with curiosity.

"Yes, I did," Sentinel continued, his tone taking on a nostalgic quality. "But things got complicated after... we went to a horrible planet where your mother died. Let's just say, I was very fond of your mother."

Altair's expression shifted, confusion and a hint of suspicion crossing her features. "What do you mean?"

Sentinel Prime leaned in slightly, his voice lowering as if sharing a painful secret. "Your father, Optimus Prime, made decisions that led to her tragic fate on Arachna 7. It's something I've always struggled with. Sometimes, I wonder if he thinks about the consequences of his actions, or if he just moves on without considering who gets hurt."

Altair's optics widened in shock, Sentinel's words planting seeds of doubt and resentment. "You think... my father was responsible?"

Sentinel straightened, his expression somber. "I don't mean to cause you pain, Altair. I just believe you deserve to know the truth. Your mother was a dear friend to me, and I feel it's my duty to ensure her daughter becomes the warrior she would have been proud of."

Altair nodded slowly, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. "Thank you, Sentinel. I... I need some time to think about this."

Sentinel Prime watched her go, a satisfied smile playing on his lips. Manipulating Altair's emotions and turning her against Optimus was a crucial step in his larger plan. As she looked away, deep in thought, Sentinel knew he had sown the seeds of distrust. All he needed now was to wait and watch them grow. As Altair Comet processed Sentinel Prime's words, a mixture of confusion and suspicion churned within her spark. She couldn't deny the pang of doubt that Sentinel's insinuations had planted. Could her father, Optimus Prime, truly be responsible for her mother's tragic fate? And what was the extent of Sentinel's relationship with Elita-One?

"Sentinel," Altair began, her voice cautious, "I appreciate you sharing this with me, but... I find it hard to believe that my father would willingly put my mother in harm's way."

Sentinel Prime's optics softened, his gaze lingering on Altair with a mixture of empathy and calculated manipulation. "I understand your doubts, Altair. But sometimes, the truth can be difficult to accept. Your father and I were once close friends, as were your mother and I. But things changed after Arachna 7."

Altair's optics narrowed slightly, her suspicion growing. "What happened on Arachna 7?"

Sentinel hesitated, a flicker of something resembling regret crossing his features before he continued. "It's... complicated. Let's just say, there were choices made, and consequences suffered. Your mother and I... we were close. Very close."

Altair's spark fluttered with uncertainty, her mind racing with questions she didn't dare voice. Was Sentinel implying that he and her mother had been more than just friends? And if so, what did that mean for her relationship with him now?

"Altair," Sentinel Prime said, his tone softening as he reached out to place a comforting hand on her shoulder, "You've become like family to me. I care about you deeply, and I want to help you navigate the challenges ahead. Consider me a mentor, a confidant, even a father figure if you will."

Altair's spark fluttered with conflicting emotions, torn between the desire for guidance and the unsettling feeling that something wasn't right. She couldn't shake the feeling that Sentinel Prime was hiding something, something crucial about her mother's past and his own motivations.

"Thank you, Sentinel," Altair replied, her voice measured, "but I need some time to process all of this. I... I'll let you know if I need your guidance."

Sentinel Prime nodded, his expression masking the simmering resentment beneath. As Altair walked away, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of satisfaction. He had successfully sown doubt in her mind, planting the seeds of resentment towards her father. And as Altair grappled with the revelations he had planted, Sentinel knew that his plan to turn her against Optimus Prime was well underway.
