English is my second language, and although I've been learning and speaking it for almost 24 years now (in Finland kids started English on the 3rd grade when I was a kid) I still get idioms, sayings and things wrong a lot of the time. Until a few months ago I thought that the person taking the fall for someone else is a "spacegoat". It's in fact "scapegoat", as you might know, but it made people rather happy when I said it. I decided I had to draw this magical spacegoat, and here he is. This is a very fast sketch and just as frazzled as a goat in space would be, but at least ISS gets to make an appearence.Related content

There was this TV show in Norway with skits about 3 badly stereotyped Finns, amusingly a supposed space goat was a running plot element through several episodes (or two, it's been ages since I have seen the show).

Space Goat vol.1

Greg Martin (:devsirgerg) was the first space artist I encountered on DeviantArt and his artwork just blew me away. This was exactly what I wanted to create! He ist still one of the greatest inspirations of the Space Art genre. Digital space art would not be the same without him. Today he mostly does excellent photography but I got a feeling, we haven't seen the last of his marvelous illustrations.
