Description General Ethan Finns is a genius tactician who successfully united the four mercenary armies after five brutal centuries of war. He became renowned the world over when he conquered the most powerful nation of the world in a single night. Upon capture of the Paladin capital Finns became master all its technological resources, the most valuable of which being the enigmatic creature known only as Anubis; the one single handedly responsible for bringing forth the dark age of super technology.

Wishing to realize the ancient dream of his lost ancestors, Finns eagerly agreed to Anubis’ terms that would allow both he and his massive army to become nigh immortal cyborgs, known as Panzers. After completing the live combat tests for the General’s new body, Anubis jovially nicknamed him, Crustaceous Fins, due to his being splattered red with the gore of 175 slaughtered opponents.

Fins is a blood thirsty berserker when united with his “Nephilim Class” combat body, very unlike his normally cool calculating self. It is a monstrous walking tank designed for murder. Standing well over 14 feet tall, his hardened frame is crafted from space titanium, a super rare alloy excavated deep within meteor impact craters found throughout of his homeland to the south. He is capable of moving at exceedingly fast speeds despite being weighed down by a vast array of hidden armaments.

Very few individuals have witnessed the general’s full rage in combat and lived to tell of its horrors. Among them are the Paladin Lancier, Aria Colleen, the Torlion Skorn, and the Lich Lord Baulter. Finns mind seethes with maddening rage at their escape and lusts for the moment when he can eviscerate them with his own two hands.

I actually started this piece about three years ago, somehow lost the original sketches within a mountain of unknown papers and forgot about it. Since I hadn’t posted anything about Finns yet I figured I figured I’d redo the image saving the original pose.

His uniquely shaped head was a real pain to figure out for this angle. I actually cut out a 2D top view if his head and angled it in an attempt to figure out the shape of the force perspective needed. I think I was about 80% successful. ;o

Drawing detailed mechs with an organic flow to them is a truly maddening process. I’m sure I killed an entire forest coming up with this design, and it still feels so crude compared to others I’ve seen in Japan. Y.Y

You mention the difficulty in angling the head, but I think you pulled it off rather nicely. As far as originality, the design itself isn't unlike things I've seen before - seems somewhat Godzilla (or some Japanese daikaiju) - inspired, but the head is the most original quality to the piece, it's a very unique shape. The style you drew this in (I don't know a name for it) works well for this piece. I also think you pulled off the animated quality to it's pose quite nicely, and kudos for the backstory, adds a nice touch that shows your care for your work. Great job.

Hey isn't this the creature the soldier described in the last paragraph of Skorn vs Beowulf?

Woah not only did you read one of my bios you recognized a creature only described in one!!?

Yes it is indeed that very creature.

I really should do a newer variant of this guy... though these next few semester I'll be deep into fleshing out my own unique take on the red riding hood lore... though its still set in the "Perilous Quest" universe.

I'll have like 10 new pieces to color once this semester ends. I'll need to get bios written for each one as well. Sigh so much work. T_ T

Thanks so much for your interest though! Now I got the energy I need to continue the fight. ^ 0^
