Yet another Sonic character got into this situation!

Just for curiosity, do you read the archie comic series? If yes, I might need a tip from an expert.

Holy crap, that's a big amount of comic books.
Maybe you could tell me from what comic does the story get... more interesting than ever?
For now, I readed the first 50 issues, plus all the necessary spin-offs and side stories.

Do I see a frame of AoStH?!?

issue 50 was intended to be the finale because Archie anticipated Sega would want the comics to be cancelled considering the SatAM cartoon was over at the time

between issues 50-75 were a weird time as Robotnik was dead and there was few villains to antagonize the heroes, until they explain how Robotnik gained a new body that resembles how he now looks since the Adventure game was on the way

the Knuckles side comics was a mix of boring discussions of politics and awkward Star Trek-inspired sci-fi until that got cancelled

the main comic issues attempted to adapt the Sonic Adventure plotline very peculiarly, as the game's universe differed from the comics (Sonic coexisting with humans vs the comic humans were all depicted to be evil) and the fact the game was only in Japanese as they tried to make sense of the story while also trying to stay consistent with the comic's continuity, hence a lot of creative liberties with the adaptation

issues 124-125 supposedly takes place directly after Sonic Adventure 2 as an alien threat wants to destroy Mobius, forcing every single comic character, friend and foe, to fight against them as Sonic is warped far into space for several issues after trying to find his way back home

Several side stories afterwards show a hypothetical future scenario where the main characters are adults with children discussing their current problems, the art also slowly deteriorates and the comics also again take very weird directions with the story after the previous story arc until issue 160 when the previous writer Ken Penders left Archie and was replaced by Ian Flynn.

from 160 and onwards the comics become fun to read for once and the art became excellent again, they even had a crossover with Megaman characters. However, after the crossover event, Ken Penders childishly went to court to claim ownership of his stories and characters from the Knuckles comic and the era of the Sonic comics he worked on despite being under contract. Unfortunately, Archie had somehow LOST his contract and Penders won out of sheer dumb luck.

The comic was forced to reboot at issue 252, leaving behind a lot of loose ends from the previous storyline and many original comic characters were wiped out as the comics started clean with new characters and storylines.

Ken Penders currently is deluded in believing he'll regain his old fans of his work by retooling his characters to be hideously-designed Star Trek-inspired aliens (STILL resembling echidnas) and arrogantly talking about his upcoming comic, The Lara-Su Chronicles on his Twitter.
Meanwhile Ian Flynn, feeling bad for fans of the old continuity, has been slowly revealing his original intent for the plot and storyline he was forced to abandon before the reboot called the Lost Hedgehog Tales.

If you're a new reader, I admit starting with 252 or even the Megaman crossover would be a fine start, as it doesn't require you to know the previous continuity's history.

That's an interesting story to hear (or READ in this case). But it seems it blew after Ken made his second appearance. Made a research of "Lara-Su Chronicles" and sort of had an heart attack after I saw the first picture it found: a 3D model of Lara Su. If that's she.

Well, too bad, I wanted to see how some stories went.
Thanks for telling me, senpai!
What about the Sonic Universe? (I know, I'm asking you too much, I feel bad for this, sorry)

the 3D model is Lien-Da, she went from being an attractive looking Sonic character to a rejected character from The California Raisins

Sonic Universe is more of an expansion of events in the comics, like if Sonic's busy with something in the main comic, another character like Shadow gets some spotlight in Universe that may come together to a bigger event in the main storyline

Alright, thanks for everything, Lance. Man, you really know a lot!

I'll check out the Universe series too.
Thank you very much again!
