palaeozoologist ā€” Alert Diplodocus

Description This is a drawing illustrating a possible alert posture for Diplodocus. While recent research by Whitlock (2011) suggests that it fed near the ground, it is of note that a number of modern low feeding animals raise their necks above horizontal while not grazing or feeding low (see rabits, geese, ostriches, horses, etc.).

A small rhamphorhynchid pterosaur flies above.

Love the patterns on it's neck and the pterosaur in the background.

This is very nice . Despite how more realistic or unrealistic it may be, I must admit to liking the "S" necked Sauropods of the "old school style". So this seems to be a happy compromise .

By the way, just asking. But would you like to join my Jurassic Park group? Iā€™m trying to capture the essence of real dinosaurs in a story format and the group is also acting as a hub for more realistic paleo-art/paleo-anatomy restorations and some JP fan-art.
