Hello, I discovered your comic some time ago, liked it a lot, forgot about it because I'm a webcomic junkie and always need more, found it again yesterday and liked it as much as the first time because the art is really nice, the colours and lights vibrant (so, so gorgeous) and the story oh so intriguing.
I still have a problem with the page five, though... The first panel says "In fact, he wasn't one, really". He wasn't one what, exactly ? An all-traitor ? An Otherworlder ? And what's that got to do with him being arrogant, cowardly, and ugly ? These look like completely different things...
Maybe it's only me being dense, and I know it's not a big deal, but it perplexes me...

Aw, thank you! I was always so reluctant to do anything because I didn't feel strong enough artistically, but now I feel like I can at least begin! Hopefully I'll improve along the way!

Personally, I would dispute the suggestion that ice-based puns are an indication of cleverness. But that's just me.

Do it do it do it do stuff do it do it! Even if you don't want to get a full-fledged story out there, or are too nervous to draw up something big and fancy, do something! Start in the middle of a story and go from there, do demo sketches--whatever! It helps boost confidence and it helps so much in motivation. I know at least for me... Like, I did a bunch of demo stuff before actually starting, and being able to look at it and go "man, holy shit, I completed that page" was an amazing feeling that drove me to start work on the actual story.

I do character concept pics for story ideas from time to time, but I've never had much patience for sequential art. (I did try my hand a while ago and got bored.) >_>; I suppose making an effort at it would at least be good practice and discipline, even if I don't do a full story. It looks like it would be good practice at depicting scenery and backgrounds, which is an unfortunate weakness of mine.

That's completely reasonable. Another idea, too, is like... Someone else brought this up, but possibly making an illustrated story? That way you could focus your effort into one REALLY GOOD picture, and not worry about it too much sequentially, while writing additional stuff. I thought it was a neat concept, and one I haven't really seen done on the... web... osphere.
YEAH, you never realize how many backgrounds you'll have to draw until you do a comic, haha. Backgrounds are/were my weakness too, and now i'm like "HNNGH CITY SCAPES EVERYWHERE."
