Copypasta from SA:I drew a picture a long time ago ([link] ) for a pokemon contest... thing. I looked over the design again, realized I really liked it, and just decided to steal it and run with it. It doesn't look too much like a pokemon anyway.
Regardless, it was also a good experiment since my boyfriend's been yelling at me to "put more texture into your linework." The goal of this picture was to be able to guess what material everything was just through the linework alone.
I'm happy with it, at least, even if fur is a bitch. D:

I think the creature looks far cooler with a little texture. It really adds something to the drawing (something like TEXTURE! Hur hur hur 8B ).
But I do have to agree, this looks nothing like a Pokemon. Though honestly, if I had to name a catch-that-creature show, it looks like it would fit right in with Digimon. :3
