Description copypasta from Sheezyart. WHEE LONG.

hljfdalkrjlekrrrrrrrrgkkkkghghhhghhlll.

Between moving, website design, writing, comic planning and playing ghettoblivion, I managed to ink this for more Redeemer prep. I was gonna have them on pedestals but whatever, it's not that important.

Anyway, as you can guess, the gods and goddesses of the Redeemer world. They're based on the simple 4-axis D&D alignment--good, chaos, law, and evil, respectively. I tried to make them all have some sort of ups and downs (then again, how the hell do you make an upside to a god of evil?) but y'know. Anyway, from left to right, Avari, Tiamel, Liandro, Schardared.

WARNING: THIS NEXT PART IS LONG. It contains rambling about these folks. I decided to post it 'cause it was... fairly short (and, y'know, the website's not done yet D. Don't feel like you have to read it, because it's probably really really boring.

AVARI
Goddess of Goodness, Honor, Glory and Charity
Knight Name: Voices
The goddess about 75% of the civilized world worships, Avari is heralded as the goddess of all that is good and just. Her voices oftentimes work hand in hand with local law enforcement, serving as a back-up (or, in many occasions, main) force in the army. Said to be the leader of the gods, her saints are often attributed with qualities like chivalry, charity, kindness and goodness. However, unlike the other gods (who since their ascension have contacted mortal worshippers at least once) only one person (named the Chorus) is allowed contact with the deity, albeit indirectly. Because of this, she is often attributed with prejudice, silence, aloofness, and war.

Her symbols include a shield adorned with weapons and a white lioness. This is also the goddess that the majority of the characters in Redeemer worship.

TIAMEL
Goddess of Chaos and Freedom
Knight Name: Hearts (laaaaaame)
Second to Schardared in terms of mortal interaction, Tiamel thrives on freedom and turmoil. Superstituion says that if a person is clumsy, Tiamel might be around. Her saints are attributed with qualities like nature, love, passion (sex), freedom and alcohol. Her bad attributes include nature (think tornados and such), riots, disease and accidents. Her followers (and the goddess herself) are constantly at war with Liandro's followers, many times resulting in bloodshed.

Her symbols include a tree with many different kinds of fruit, as well as a fox with multiple tails. Occasionally she is depicted as a male (a certain sect of her church refers to her only as a "he") or a hermaphrodite.

As an interesting note, back in the rule of the High Elves, Tiamel was widely rejected by elvenkind for her wildness and recklessness. Now that the old elven kingdoms are lost and elves have resorted to more monsterous habits she is much more widely accepted by her own kind.

LIANDRO
God of Order and Law
Knight Name: Eyes
Master of anything having to do with orderly conduct, followers of Liandro say that although bound, he can move just fine... for he posesses such control, the world moves around -him-. Most of his worshippers work in government positions, with most kings posessing small temples of worship in their quarters. His saints are attributed with law, justice, kingdoms, marriage. But he is also attributed with bondage (hahaha), control, tyranny and heartlessness. His followers don't hesitate to destroy any follows of Tiamel they encounter, even going so extreme as to ban the religion in whatever country they govern.

His symbols include a fist covered in chains and bandages. His animal symbol is that of a bound wolf.

SCHARDARED
God of Carnality (and Evil, depending on who you talk to)
Knight Name: Hands
Some fear him, for they say he's the leader of the devils, evil dragons, and all things nasty. Others say that he bravely sacrificed his image and became the fall-guy for the gods. Regardless, none can argue that Schardared has made the most personal contact with the mortal races. He is attributed with sin, drugs, pain, corruption, lust and greed. However, many of his followers (the accepted ones, that is) claim that out of all the gods he is the most sympathetic and mortal. Unlike Avari, he doesn't avoid sin--he directly addresses it. While Avari's voices and Schardared's hands often fight, the two gods are, according to legends, quite amicable with one another with Schardared occasionally providing direct help to her voices.

His symbols are a heart breaking out of a box and a raven.

Similar to Tiamel Schardared is despised by his fellow gnomes, though unlike Tiamel he is still despised to this day. The gnomes blame him for their "falling out" with the elements. They are not without reason--oftentimes common gnomes face bias due to their ties to the god of overwhelming evil.

p.s. tee hee hopefully this doesn't get removed or matured because of the very tiny boobies.

Really awesome take on the basic good-evil-lawful-chaotic set up, with really original and well thought out gods. It was fun to read how each god is portrayed and what they stand for and such. Utterly lovely!
