Description
This is a painting I did with the theme of dissociative identity disorder (D.I.D) or Multiple Personality Disorder, so what I was intending to express here falls under a lot of categories/titles. I have interest in this condition and wanted to do a picture related to it but with a bit of a cheerful nature as these kind of conditions are often associated with bad things and people which really is not always the case. it's not always a miserable time or an angry time and it does not automatically make somebody with it a bad person.i did one a while ago with this theme but was unhappy with it so I think I will do it again

wow! that is just amazing. I have DID, and wow - you've definitely captured it brilliantly. I don't think I could have pictured it artistically any better than you've done here. i have DID and i think this is a lovely way of interpreting it and i agree completely that it isnt always bad. i love my alters very much, even the ones who dont love me so much, they're all there to help me and have been there when no one else was, i'd feel like a terrible person if i couldnt love them for all they've done for me. i wish more people could see DID as a good thing rather than something awful or something to be scared of - it may come from awful things happening but it's something that saves lives (:

I really like this. and I agree that it usually associated with bad things, but in reality a lot of people live perfectly happy lives because they get their alters to co-exist.
I'm not sure how this is like schizophrenia, though....

Did you smudge the white gel pen in her hair to give it that blurred appearance? It's interesting that you have an interest in this disorder--I'm one of the people who associate it with negative connotations.
I adore the style you use to pull the eyes far apart from each other. I went through a phrase in my artistic style when I did that ^^ Of course, I never refined anything to a complete picture like you do here

thanks so much the white in her hair is watercolour paint with bit of white colour pencil on top also i added water to the edges of the white paint whilst it was still wet to get a feathered look.
Yes i am very interested in this disorder i decided to make the picture after talking with somebody online who lives with D.I.D and they said it actually helps them, they even enjoy what they have so i was inspired ^o^ i appreciate your kind lovely comments thank you

I always heard DID was different of schizophrenia but you do show a theme like that with the dolls. and water-coloring this must have been tough but it comes out good. Also the details on the eyes and the features of the dolls are pretty nice.

you should create celebration cards (xmas, birthday ect.) and such with your drawings

i have actually thought of doing that i bought some blank cards the other day i was going to make Christmas cards this year but i got lazy haha i might try some birthday cards
