Iiiiiit's Raichu! XD

I had so much fun making this costume, omg. I'll try to put up some detail shots soon cuz it was a blast. This is my "Raver Raichu" costume, debuted at Anime Oasis 2010. The design on the back is actually the Thunder Badge, and my bro helped me get it to light up and flash in a lightning bolt shape on the back. The rest I threw together about a week before the convention since a couple of friends were going as Lt. Surge and Pikachu. Wish we'd gotten to walk around the con a bit more together, but it was still a blast.

This pic is from the Cosplay Picnic last saturday that Zelda from Otaku Engine organized for everyone. ^^ It was a lot of fun, though I think I got a little sunburned. I love that you can see some of the details in this shot though. The ears and vest are probably my favorite. ^^ I wanted it to have more of a "punk" kind of feel so I set piercings all down the ears and even found a hat-pin to resemble the barbell style piercings. The cute little Master Ball necklace is the only part I didn't make(it was made by !!). I bought it at a little artist alley booth at AO when I was dressed as Raichu. XD I love wearing it with this costume though! <3

Aw thank you for noticing! Yes, even the tail had some piercings! I definitely wanted a punk/older vibe, since Raichu is more like a teen/adult, while Pikachu is the kid. XD

Just a quick question, how did you wear the ears? To they cover your ears, or are they attached to a head band or something else? I'm trying to do my own variation of Raichu, and I'm having a bit of trouble with them.

They're on a headband I just got a really cheap one at the dollar store. XD and glued the ears to the sides. Good luck with yours! Raichuuuuu <3
