He looks so haunted. Just as I pictured him! Love to see more fanart of this book.

This is reeeeeally cool. Its like he isn't really there, as if he was a part of the land and it's history more than a real human. Awesome.

i really love the smoky-shadowy effect. And the expression on Uskglass's face... Realistic. really brillant.

Its a wonderful drawing, ofcourse. It all melds together and J.U. seems to be part of the earth. It reminds me of a venician during the renaissance. He looks quite theatrical and in a trance, as though he might be working a bit of subtle magic. Its not the John Uskglass I formed in my head, mine is somewhat wilder and more medieval-looking, but it has the feeling of the book (for me) which is a slightly sinister windy day where the sun doesnt ever rise properly.

I love this image, I find it rather eerie, the muddied darkness which really impacts well with the quote you had. It sends chills down my spine. I do like how his cloak is part feathers too and those eyes *shudders*. Awesome, awesome picture. Added it to faves.

Great work. I'm baffled that this book has so little fanart. Love the misty ethereal feel of your drawing

Woow. The pose is so wonderful. Like something out of an old woodcut or tarot card. And since it's a medieval king that really works. And the colour palette fits him too, fog and mist and shadows. And his clothes are gorgeous, and the feather cloak, and he's gorgeous and looks a bit like a secretive child, and I love that. Will stop ranting now. XD

Oh my god... instant favorite. You've captured one of my favorite characters of all time. The light, indistinct colors add to the misty atmosphere and the general mystery that shrouds the Raven King. For a character that only appears on two pages and about fifty footnotes, he sure makes an impression.

Impressive and quite creepy. Beautiful costume, too.
I think you've caught the atmosphere of Clarke's book really well - on the border of a fairy-tale and something much darker...

The wet, rainy look of the piece is great. I really like how his face has very little definition. The stance is very nice, and the billowing sleeves look good in a combination with the clouds. I might have had the nails a little lighter because they draw a bit too much attention. It's very nice.

I rather like this version better too.
It rather fits the words you've attached to it, I think.

Good stuff!
