Interesting closeup. I can't imagine being able to get that close to any bird with a camera so I am guessing you used a zoom. It is impressive.

You would not believe if i told you the truth: she was laying an egg while i was taking photos (being only 5cm away of her face) and i didn't know that so i was thinking to myself is she stoned or what and after i back off an egg was there under my balcony plant.

I think sometimes when birds lay eggs they go into a sort of trance so it was likely she wasn't aware you were there. xx
