I give up. Here ya go.

The implicit goal for every comic project I give myself is to improve my overall abilities (usually by forcing me to do the parts of the process I don't like, like writing and backgrounds). I usually have some other goals as well. For this project they are:
        - More complex freaking backgrounds than in Gremlin
    - a freaking horse
    - Improve freaking drafting and freaking panel layout

I also still struggle with using tones and primarily use solid fill, despite using a freaking manga program (Clip Studio Paint) for my work that has a whole mess of screentones built in. But right now tones are very low priority.

At the moment I am using the art of Stan Sakai (creator of Usagi Yojimbo) as a reference/inspiration, due to his ability to draw very busy black & white panels with great clarity. As far as I can tell,
he doesn't use midtones at all in his work and is pretty much just mad skilled at linework and black fill.

Unlike with my other project, I'm uploading this before I'm finished with all the pages so ya'll get to see how tortoise speed I am at art.
