Description
Desdemona grasped her heart, as for assurance that she was still alive, the pain she felt was unreal. She looked down to the side, as an attempt to hide her tears that was forming. And so she took a deep breath and said with a hurt shaky voice.
"Today... in the mines... I heard the other workers talking... At first I couldn't believe what they were saying. They talked about you. About how you have "snared the bitch in"... How you're "making something of himself, thanks to that wily and sly mind". At first I didn't quite understand what they meant... but now I do."

Desdemona's expression turned to something of a furious rage. She looked straight into Rayden's eyes, straightened her back, and said with a stone cold voice that was slightly cracking.
"You never truly cared for me did you? You never wanted to share your lunch with me, you didn't really go outside to watch the snowflakes fall down, you didn't truly think much of me. That was all a show. It was all for one goal. To make me care about you, to make me fall in love with you. But now I see your true intentions. You never loved me, you wanted my power... my status... my wealth. You probably thought that I would be easy... seeing how I've been alone and lonely in this hellhole of a place."

She didn't know if her voice would hold, her whole body was shaking of grief and anger. She had loved him, truly loved him. He had been the only light in her kingdom after old gardener Basil died. He had gained her heart and trust, and she never suspected that he was a betrayer, a fraud. She continued, even though she felt like falling down to the snowy ground and cry her heart out. Her legs felt so weak, her head lightheaded and her whole body heavy. She gathered up the last of her composure that she had, and said her last words with a low hateful voice.
"You're just like everyone else in this cold wretched town. Heartless and selfish. You don't want love, I don't even know if you're capable of loving, all you want is money. So here you go, take this and never come back. If I would happen to see you here again... I will command the old executor to sharpen his axe... and put your head upon my wall, like the primitive animal that you are."

And so Desdemona quickly turned her back and made her way back to the castle with determined steps. She couldn't look back, even though a part of her still wanted to see his face. His eyes, he had such beautiful blue eyes. They looked so kind and innocent, she had loved them, they reminded her of the blue sky back home. But now she would never see them again, and maybe it was for the better, they had been a lie. A beautiful lie that she had fallen for far too easily. She would never do that same mistake again. She would never trust anyone like that ever again. She would not. She could not. One more crack in her broken heart, and it would burst, never to be healed again.

I've been thinking long about experimenting with RPG message boxes like this one~ So this is just a quick try on it~
So here's Desdemona again, I somehow can't seem to get enough of her, even though she's not one of the heros/heroines in my story, she actually started out as a pretty minor character. But she's grown on me, and developed by herself almost~ X'D
But in her cold winter home she's been pretty much always alone, with the exception of the old gardener, who sadly died not too long after she arrived. But she did befriend a boy her age (She was 16 at this time), whom she gained feelings and affection for. Sadly the feelings weren't returned, or they were, but not in an honest and true way. And so she banished him from her kingdom when she found out what he really wanted, thanks to the rumours going on in the mines.
