Minor correction/nit-pick:
The SR-71 was never a "stealth" aircraft. Radar can pick this aircraft up just as easily as any other.
The SR-71s area of advantage was speed. It was simply faster than any of the missiles that could
be launched at it. As such, missile countermeasures (ie. flares, chaff) were not even included in the
design.
