...maybe not so dramatic but eh I'm kinda excited about it.

Presenting... NIDHOGG! (working title)

This is the last project I am doing for the university, except for my dissertation of course. The module is a "Negotiated Learning Task" so I basically got to do whatever I wanted as long as it's within course boundaries and it helps develop my portfolio. So I've chosen to make a comic! The idea is to make a 30-page comic, but it might turn into two parts if I want to expand on the story The first page will come out on my website on saturday the 11th of april (later on dA) and if things go after plan I will be uploading pages on a regular basis after that! Yay!

ok, so let's get to the pitch:

"An otherworldly, fast-growing tree has appeared in the midst of a poor viking village. The tree attracts attention and riches, but also a very, very big problem."

I don't want to spoil too much BUT: The story follows the young viking/farmer/fisherman Fell Sigurdsson and his family, and their sudden, unexpected close encounter with the old norse legends Yggdrasil and Nidhogg.

Also the quote comes from a (translated) prose or poem from a poem in the poetic Edda, describing Nidhogg:

From below the dragon
dark comes forth,
Nithhogg flying
from Nithafjoll;
The bodies of men
on his wings he bears,
The serpent bright:
but now must I sink.

sounds so tolkien-ish I couldn't resist.

So I've just thrown a little subpage up for this project on my website: panimated.com/nidhogg/
It doesn't contain much at the moment but it should work more or less as a hub for the project, where you can read the comic, read more about the characters, see some WIP's and so on. Should be pretty cool!
