AloneIn a room
With doors
I can open
I peep out
the window,
At what I could be
And there
In the room
With doors
I might open
I long to be
those things
That I see
But everytime I open up
A door I think that I can trust
An errant wind will slam it back at me
And the outside only gets a glimpse of me
I've tried to push that passage wide
To show the world that I won't hide
But they shut it if they don't like what they see
And think that that one glimpse was all of me
Perhaps it's not the world's fault that I,
Will not push as hard as I might
Against the wind that shuts me in
Alone
In that room
With doors
I can't open
I peep out
The windows
At what I want
To be
And there
In the room
With doors
I won't open
I know
That those things
Could never
Be me

Very nice style. A very good poem. "But they shut it if they don't like what they see" -- a bit confusing, I think you mean the world? Either way. Very nicely done, the idea is well and it comes across simply. My words are all stuck in my head somewhere, I hope I make since. Maybe I do.

And Panmiro is really a kind of nonsense name that only makes sense if you think of it like I do. "Pan" means "All", "miro" means "reflection" like in the word mirror. One root is Greek and the other is distinctly Anglo-saxon, so it's also kind of a combination of two cultures.

I love the straight forward imagery you use. I can picture it perfectly, but most importantly I can feel the poem. Believe it or not, I know exactly how this feels. And I think I know what you have a hard time with...anyway loved the poem! Damn identity crisis...hate them.
