A big bookworm, Iori is raher intelligent at most topics. Always just silently sitting there, without making a sound, and reading one thing or another. Usually her presence is hard to notice. She does like communicating though, but since she's rather bad with speaking, she prefers communicating through letters, even if the person she's talking to is right next to her. The people she likes, Iori tends to cheerfully follow them around and serve as a portable wikipedia.

However, while she appears harmless and innocent for the most part, the amount of the karma marks on her have a good reason to be there. She is brutally cruel and cold hearted towards most living beings, with death reflecting in her eyes. She tends to keep her brutality towards smaller pokemon, or those lower than her, rendering their existence worthless without any value. However, once crossed, she'd certainly erase anyone, be it foe or ally alike. For someone so small, her strength and merciless cruelty sure is large.

Although a bookworm of all genres, she favors scientific, historical and factual books over fiction, considering fictional stories to be a waste of time, much like most emotions.

History:
Iori spent her days living in a small house on the outskirts of the town. Her mother was an intense researcher of various sciences, mostly biological ones, so their tiny house was more of a library sort of laboratory than a house for living. Curious of the world and always busy reading her mothers science books, her mother eventually started forcing her to go outside once in a while. Which didn't go to well, as Iori just ended up sitting at the front porch, still reading. Until her mother came up with a solution - she gave Iori a jar, and asked her to go and catch her a certain species of bug. Surely, it being for science, it worked. Eventually it became a common thing for Iori to be sent after various small critters. Sometimes the critters died before she managed to bring them back, sometimes her mother carefully put them to rest to continue her various researches. It made her realize that some lives, especially those of unintelligent creatures, are completely worthless, and useful only after death. Food, research resources, materials, they all are valuable things obtained from the worthless dying. She started to grow colder and colder, eventually starting to end lives of critters for the sake of making them "useful". Her mother, as invested in her researches as ever, never started to notice of what has become of her daughter.
One day, a crow with coloration mutated feathers had caught Iori's eye. She knew she absolutely had to bring it home for research. Following it through majority of the town, it eventually led her to the shrine. In a blink of an eye, the next thing she knew, she was a pichu in another world.
