Dawn breaks over the horizon of a spaceport at Zur'bajj in the Zur'bajj sector. A far-too tired Karyce Z't'Nali sleeps at an empty gate.

A colourized version of my Inktober entry for the "Sleep" prompt. The original drawing can be seen here: www.deviantart.com/panspec/art… In this image, she has just managed to secure travelling papers across the "Glitterpool", the largest collection of allied trading partners in the galaxy and attempts to make her way back home, essentially by "hitchhiking", or rather slumming it in jobs on alien ships to buy passage.

I went about this one a bit differently in that I used Affinity Designer to paint it, rather than my usual raster-based methods. Since the image was intended to be an homage to Moebius' Starwatcher image, I wanted the colour style to be similar, whilst also describing the scene I had in mind. In the end, the only nod to Moebius' colour palette are the blues in the bottom right.
