Hm I'm amusing her mother is Altmer (the dominant racial traits of a child come from the mother in the elder scrolls). Though the most interesting racial mixture is the Grey Prince who's mother is Orsimer and father a vampire. On record he is the only Damphire to exist in Tamriel. Though upon learning his father was a vampire the Grey Prince was devastated and requested the upcoming arena combatant on his team to dispatch him in battle. And theoretically speaking her arcane capabilities wouldn't be diminished by only one non Mer parent.

yes and no. their physic may have been similar but their culture is imensly different. They Alyieds were Daedra worshipers who enslaved humans and had vicious infighting. The altmer were seclutionists who worshiped the Aedra and only enslaved goblins for a time and spent most of their time defending themselves against the Sload and Maormer.
Calling two races of Mer the same is like saying Nords and Redguard are identical. Β
