For the keepsake mini prompt ! When Ezra was a happy little bab his daddy gave him a big old plush snake. Both his parents were nature lovers, his dad favoring reptiles and amphibians, his mom favoring birds. Clearly, he took more after his mom. His dad passed when Ezra was relatively young. He was pretty traumatized. His little family, of just him and his mom, ended up feeling vulnerable as a result. This is part of the reason Ezra goes from a lively, regular little pup to a skittish baby. His mother passing is the final catalyst in making Ezra the shy, cold Keb he is today.
He still has this stuffed snake and has always taken comfort in being tangled up in it. Now that his snake doesn't leave home, Ezra has the nervous habit of wrapping his long tail around himself.
