DECEMBER MCC: ACCEPTANCE

Milkweed came into the world an orphan. Or at least that's what she was told. The story varies depending on who you ask. If you ask her mothers or her sisters, they'll say she was found in a patch of flowers, orphaned and looking for a family. Meanwhile, if you ask Milkweed, she'll say that the forest fae brought her into the world. That the whimsical spirits within all of nature created her from the roots of the trees and the petals of the flowers. She's no orphan, she was created for her family. She was created to be found by Benji and Ilkay. She was made to grow up in Skydas, where each step has brought her more joy and contentment. Where she has friends, a family and a trade that brings her fulfilment each day.

Milkweed finds acceptance in everyday pack life. In being able to be a Hearthkeeper and watch over the newest life in Skydas. This is where she finds purpose and, where there is purpose, there is acceptance.

AC DESCRIPTION

With snow falling in Skydas, Milkweed migrates from the windswept Hearth - where ocean winds blow most of the snow away - to the deeper valleys and plains of the Fell. There, where the snow gets pushed into the nooks and crannies of Skydas territory, she takes a turn babysitting the newest additions to Skydas - Melpomene, Imrie and Jedediah. The pups are eager to romp in the thick layers of snow and Milkweed is happy to follow along with them, rolling around and laughing until their cheeks hurt.

Skydas is... nice. For a young, frightened soul, it takes a great deal of effort to get out into the world and begin experiencing it. Some would say it takes a village; a whole pack. While Melpomene is still wary of most things, she appreciates all the wolves around her that give her the space to be a carefree pup. From mom and dad to auntie Thetis and even the kind Hearthkeeper, Milkweed, there is always someone that can watch over her and her siblings. It makes Melpomene much more content with her brother and sister's antics, knowing someone is watching to keep them all out of harm's way.
