Yeah... I got lucky, I was putting up Christmas lights and so I was already on the roof- all I had to do was climb in through my window and grab my camera.
It also made me decide that I love sitting up on my roof.....it is one of the best places to find solitude and it gives an entirely new perspective on the mundane things I see every day when I walk out my door

Very nice reds. I take some sky shots myself. Haven't been able to time a great sunset yet. Unfortunately I don't have access to my house's roof either, so the power lines frequently get in the way.
I do have some nice moonlit shots. Keep up the great work.
