Description Let it not be said that I don't like Marvel's characters. I don't speak of it often, as I'm more prone to speaking about my enjoyment of DC's comic lineup; what with most of my favorite superheroes coming from their stable like Nightwing (by extension Robin - specifically Grayson of course), Zatanna, Superman, Green Lantern (namely Kyle Rayner), and many more, but I grew up with their stuff just as much as I did DC.

It just so happens that the DC stuff stuck with me more.

With that out of the way - after checking out the set photos from the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse - I was REALLY happy to see one of my very, very, few favorite characters from their roster be given proper justice.

JUBILEE.

Yes. I am big fan of Jubilee. I think it had more to do with the cartoon than the comics as I rarely read them. But I totally adore this character- and her actress looks to be at least visually more than I could've ever hoped for. And yes, I know she had a small cameo by another actress in the prior movies, but I didn't like those - and she was a bit player. I really hope she gets more to do now.

ANYWAY. Sorry, had to get that out - seeing that pic as well as being inspired by the Kotobukiya Jubilee statue which looks bloody gorgeous; I decided to practice on my new digital drawing monitor by using her as a subject, as I want to nail all the quirks with this baby so I could fully make use of it soon. So it's not much, and certainly not the prettiest thing in the world, but like how the practice session came out, and wanted to share.

I sort of tweaked her outfit a bit, but kept all the essentials- wanted to do my own spin. ...and boy...toying with the 90's Winona Ryder pixie-cut was trickier than I thought...

EDIT:
Forgot to mention! The brushes I used are not my creation- I bought a few of the great sets available from here -frenden.com/post/39394983582/c… . This was the same site that convinced me to pick up the Yiynova MSP19U+

Thank you! and yes...after letting it sink in, you're quite right - the feet are way too small. I think if I had actually set up a dual window in Photoshop properly- to see how the sketch looked at a distance in full, i'd have probably seen it earlier.Β

Still, glad the focus I put on her face wasn't unnoticed!

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT IS DIGITAL, MON CHOU!?!

GEEZ do you have any idea how many times I've tried to make a decent brush that looks like pencil? Ugh and here you are just like fooling me with your digital sorcery!
