I was reading on the original tale of Momotaro...and thought...well...this seems like a tale that would suit a female character either better, or just as equally.Here's the result of that thought.
I present, Momohime (I know, not the most original name...but think about it...its the most appropriate) - with all of Momotaro's partners; the talking dog, the monkey, and the pheasant. Oh, she's kneeling on a giant peach.

Addendum:
-Utensils- non-photo blue pencils, 0.5 mechanical pencil, various Sakura brand pigment liners, Copic markers, and Photoshop
-Working Time- 3 hrs. penciling, 2 hrs. inking + cleanup, 4 hrs. coloring + Photoshop edits = Total Time: 9 hrs.

ah, thanks a bunch! I find it doubly amusing considering that the textures everyone seems to be finding cool are mostly accidental (what seemed like scanning problems turned out to be pretty neat looking lol).

Well, its more of a composition issue really...I'm thinkin' now that I could re-arranged them all so as to lessen the white space...maybe. Other than that, there's a sense that perhaps I should've done the animals up to be less realistic- to match Momo.
-oh- And I only JUST firgured out that the boobs comment was directed at the drawing, not your sig lol. Yeah...I figure i'd try something different for a change (by my standards anyway...all the original members of the Comic Club would be proud m(_ _)m )

I love that shimmer of the window. Her colors look really great and I like how the bird came out. I also like the subtle textures that are coming through. Your hand is a lot steadier than mine.

Ah, that bloody shimmer took a good long time - glad its liked. Here's the thing with some of the textures- some of them actually came from scanning...I didn't even have to do anything in that case, other textures were a product of either using a variety of marker types or just snagging photos of cool textures and using them via photoshop (I tried to use actual peach texture too...but it looked really off).
As for the steady hand...well...that only counts when drawing certain things - I still get quite shaky. Especially when inking really small details.
