I was able to finish to two paper cut portraits today. First up is a Sandtrooper.Related content

These are great. (all of them, not just this one.) Do you have any WIPs of them? I'd love to try something with multiple colours, but I'm honestly not even sure where to start! How do you know which layer to put on top? And is each layer all in one piece? Or do you place some of the colours free-floating? (sorry, that was badly worded, but I'm not sure how to say it better.)

Thanks. I am currently working on a Jabba the Hutt and taking pictures after each layer. I will upload them when I finish it. I start with the lightest layer and work up to the darkest. Usually, working in five layers. I design them for each layer to be one color/shade. But each layer will have "islands" that are free-floating. That is where the difficulty really comes into place. If you want to try making your own, message me. I can provide you with a link to a "how to video" that inspired me years ago to start making my own. Also, I can even provide some templates for you to try out.
