Description
Oh, hey look, I drew a thing!
I felt like doing a group shot of some characters in one of my fantasy settings. They're all based on my old WoW characters transferred to my own flavor of high fantasy. (I recently figured out how faces work, so nothing can stop me from tinkering with my more human-y characters, mwahahaha!)
Tagged mature because Honka doesn't believe in shirts.
These guys are mercenaries with a pretty impressive reputation... except for the elf. The elf is noob. Zorianna joined the group kind of by half accident, but she doesn't have anywhere to go, and so far has managed not to slow the others down, so she hasn't been kicked out. She's very much not an action person, being a mage trained in rune writing (she's basically a coder, but with magic instead of computers) but her linguistic skills are useful.
The skyscraper is Thira, a highborn orc and the leader of the group. There's a rumor going around that she might come from a noble family, but nobody has managed to dig out much info of her past. She's also very good at glaring at people, which is helped by her tusks forcing her mouth into a frown and how she's a whole head taller than Honka, who isn't exactly a small person herself either.
Speaking of Honka, while Thira's possibly noble roots are a bit of a mystery, Honka actually IS from a noble family. Minor nobility, but still. Not that you could actually see it by looking at her, usually you could tell an orc's family rank by how ornate clothing (specially the waist cloth) they wore, but Honka has opted to not giving a crap. She's having more fun with punching people. (Also shirts are for wimps.)
Jay is the group's protector/shield/healer, and she does her fighting in a ranged magic instead of smashing things herself, which is very unorthodox for a dwarf. She also prefers to keep her beard shaved which is even more unorthodox. Although even if she prefers orcish company over her own people, she can't completely deny her heritage, shown clearly by her very special choice of magic wands: her shield spells are projected and directed by a pair of warhammers. (Her healing magic is performed by her hands, though. Healers are rare because the act of healing kinda requires the use of bare hands instead of wands or other directing objects, and you need to be very strong mage to not need those. It's hard to fix broken bones and bruises by smashing them with sticks.)
And then there's Krakla. Krakla is... human. More or less. By looking at her you could easily get the feeling that she's not quite right. She's bony, her muscles are stretched over her frame in a springy fashion, and she has no concentration skills what so ever. Holding a conversation with her is confusing, and she has trouble telling apart such words as "I", "we", "it" and stuff, using all of them pretty much interchangeably. She can't stay still for long periods of time, and will keep going untill she collapses of exhaustion. She does have occasional moments of lucidity, but they are few and far between. Despite all this, she's very effective mage, as long as she has her friends to guide her. Also: Whatever you do, do not remove her blindfold. She's acutely aware of her surroundings anyway, so better not risk it.

This is soooooo awesome, I love it too much for wordsΒ Β
Just, the personalities, and the beard, and the shirts are for wimps, and the crazy-awesome human who fits in instead of being boring, and the expressions, and the backstory, and the way they hold their weapons like they know what they're doing, even poor overwhelmed Zorianna.... Really, I can't even describe how great this is!
