I've wanted to draw a closeup of Suramas eyes for a long while. I just can't really show off the reflectivity in the small size I have to use on usual panels.
EDIT: Added a little question mark on the third panel I forgot before.

I want to ask a question: what is up with the Wolf's speech bubbles? Is he somewhat growling because of his aggressiveness? Do wolves naturally have a gruff voice or is it implying he speaks with some sort of feral accent?

I don't think it's an accent thing. If I remember right, because Bakbak spoke with a different accent then the crater hounds, his text was in italics for a while. I think it's either the wolf kinda growling, or maybe just to show it's a different species?

Kinda like gravelly-ish kind of voice? Like Batman's voice without the deep grunts&growls and a hint of contralto in his tone perhaps.

Ooo! I just noticed the roughness of Mr. Wolf's speech bubbles. Is that to show how 'feral' he is compared to the hellhounds/dogs? It makes sense that wild animals would have a slightly different accent from their domesticated counterparts, even in an alternate universe like this.

Amazing work, as always! I have to say, I am finding the wolf slightly creepy. The grin and angles make the wolf look devious.

I just got done with a re-read. He says this to Crippled or a guard dog earlier on, before he was properly revealed. It was something like 'Only the brave can look fear into the eyes' or close to that.

Maybe that's from the part where the Wolf talks to Crippled in the Prison. He said 'A brave one looks fear into the eyes'. I guess that's where it's coming from.
Maybe he's referring to Surama's Nightblindness?

The white dots above the wolf's eyes make it look like he's always frowning. Looks like Mister Tough Guy met his match ...What's his name, by the way? I can't remember seeing it.

Great job rendering the reflections on the curved surface of Surama's eye. That must have been a challenge! Wolf guy's expressions are fun, too... the long and snarly shapes of his mouth do a good job visually conveying his personality.
I have a quick critique/suggestion related to the wording in panel 2. It makes a bit more sense for Mr. Wolf to say "...looks fear in the eyes..." rather than "... fear into the eyes...". I know you're making a call back to what he said in the cave ("A brave one looks fear in the eyes", or something similar), but it makes more sense to me if you include "looks" in his current statement. "Fear into the eyes" by itself sounds a bit too cryptic for the callback.

I think Mr. Wolf likes whoever he pleases in a cryptic, creepy wolf way, but wouldn't try to form a close relationship of any kind outside of his pack unless time forced him into it, and then it would be a creepy platonic wolf friendship. Probably.
