New paaaaaaage! This one was pretty frustrating one to figure out (I know what needs to happen later in this part of the story, but just the couple pages to get there weren't properly thought out and I had way too much trouble to be reasonable. Bah!).

I remember reading this yeaaaaars ago and whenever I download DeviantArt again, this is one of the first comics I remember loving. I'm super glad there's new pages, but then I checked the date again and this last one is.... A year old at this point. Sadness

I just read everything in one sitting, It went from late too waaayyy to late but I couldn't stop. This comic you have created is simply put: AMAZING! The characters, the dialouge, the culture the whole story itself is one of the best If not THE best stories I've read in my entire 25 year old life, can't wait for the next page!

I caught up! I've been furiously binge reading. I was up at 4 AM doing homework and had a sudden flash of memory about this comic from wayyyy back then- it just stuck with me so, so well. I mowed down DA and ta-da! Found! I have to say, I haven't been this happy in a while. The simple fact that you've continued for so long is an inspiration to me, not to mention the incredible and nuanced worldbuilding, the endearing and constantly-developing characters, the careful gray morality, and the stunning artwork. I'm sure you yourself have artists that shaped your childhood before you became a trained artist; that is you for me, and many many others. Someone to look up to! So thank you for sharing your work with us, and even more so- thank you for sharing your hardships with us.
Going through something similar it's very strengthening to know that others out there are, or have gone through it and are still succeeding and still delivering amazing work. Thank you, and welcome back!

Intersex.
Hermaphrodite means an organism that has BOTH male and female reproductive organs (for example slugs), intersex is a collection of different ways of being between male and female. Whispering One is a hound term that refers to any hound who isn't male or female, including being intersex or completely lacking sexual anatomy. Iralbe specifically is intersex.

The last wurr page I remember seeing was in fact not a page but the comic sketch of iralbe's confusion about boys and girls, so I had to backtrack a second to remember what was going on...... XD

It's hilarious to me that the one with eyes on their tongue is the most dog-looking of the lot of them. (Besides Surama.) I mean, they're right, but if anything that makes it funnier.

What cracks me up is that the hounds don't even stop to think "Oh wait, he doesn't have eyes on his face." Like, it doesn't even register to them that that's a normal dog requirement, to have eyes on your face, because in the crater that's just not how things work. It literally does not cross their minds XD
