This is a redone version of this page! Sorry for the false alarm earlier, there was an issue with the script of this page and couple pages after this one that would have been really wonky, so I felt necessary to fix it.
Part of the reason it took me so long to get the first page of the year done and out was because the scene felt really wonky on the thumbnail script. Finally I just decided to screw it, me sitting on my hands doing nothing isn't going to further the story, so drawing it out even if it was wonky was better than having no pages at all...
... And then I figured how to fix the problem the day after finishing and uploading it. Duh!
It didn't affect this particular page that much, but it has a huge impact on the couple pages following this one, so it was worth it in the end. If you want, I documented my process of first creating and then frankensteining this page that you can see over here.
Anyway. Here, have the first page of the year for the second time. Now with one more panel and better flow!

I, too, like this new version much better than the oher one. One top of the better flow and more condensed script, I also really like these first two panels, they establish the setting better ^^

Man, must have been a LOT of work, but definitely like this redone page. The flow is much better, and, not to be rude, but on the previous version I thought Surama was puking behind the rock

Aww, I really liked the third panel of the previous version. I can make the sacrifice if it's better for the story, though

I thought Surama might be referring to herself and not Iacar.
I like seeing Hafmar reassuring his sister for a change.

This page is much better. It also solves a (minor) issue I had with it before and that was that I first thought Surama was sick and throwing up in the third panel. The way it was framed and Surama's "uuurghh"-noise made me think it was a "viewer discretion shot" but now with the new panels the scene is much clearer.

Looking at both, I think that this page definitely flows a lot better than the previous one did (and feels more eventful overall).
My eye keeps getting drawn to Hafmar's beaten and tattered ear shreds. Poor guy. He's probably been through the most out of everyone recently (since discovering that he's a potential time bomb due to panic madness) but he's still managing to keep it together to comfort those around him.
