C'mon dude, get real. I would accept a remark on a concept concept, idea, interpretation from some one of your level, but anatomy,(especially since there isn't anything that major to remark, and yours are relatively invalid) Are you kidding me? I don't want to be mean, but seriously you came looking for it!

You don't need to be good to be able to tell when a drawing is off, I critique art for a living dude. I was trying to be quite gentle with that but it seems you can't take criticism. If you want to be an artist grow thicker skin.

You critic art for living? Well I would greatly suggest to keep your critics for the "living" but off the internet. Or encrusting a huge copy of your graduate in Art-History (at least I hope it's Art & History and not some socio-psychology) somewhere on your profile maybe? If we were standing at a gallery, and you were that well educated guy able to tell a true Van Dyck between the ones made in his atelier by the students, well I would take your word without doubt, probably stick around for the eve and cut on some edgy subjects. But as long as we are on the plains of the web and all you have is a gallery of some wannabe manga- tite- like sketches, NOT EVEN REALISM, lol, seriously? An art critic that is fond of manga (WTF commercial manga even)? Now that's plain ironic.
So please, keep quiet.
Nothing wrong with my skin, I just prefer to eradicate the troll the moment I spot one.

I guess 3 things.

1. Do you even know what a troll is? apparently not why don't you look here for a proper definition? [link] (Internet) nothing about the comment was off topic or inflamatory so stfu.

2. I can see the mistakes that's pointed out so let me nullify your little comment about him being the only one to comment on them, I've also shown this image to a couple other people who all see the mistakes. One of whom has never even studied art. So yeah it's that obvious if you actually look.

3. This will insult both of you but before you criticise someone else's work, try looking at your own. At best your work comes across as that of a competent amateur and I'm surprised you managed to jump yourself onto so high a fucking pedestal.

Looking through your gallery most of your work has some form of imperfection whether it's with perspective, anatomy and so on. Despite the fact that I have been a complete arsehole up until this point take this next piece seriously. You are talented, very much so in fact a head above even some paid professionals but each piece has a small, notable imperfection (obviously I haven't looked through the entire gallery but judging from your latest works.) You are obviously capable of amazing work but it seems like you rush a little or get impatient and compromise the final look. Just something to keep in mind, there's nothing wrong with taking time on a piece and using references if needed. Your already good and with a little practice you could be great.

I didn't make any references to your own work, but after throwing a look into your favorites and comments on the profile page, I can make a few general deductions. Add the tone and absolutely flat arguments from your previous self injection into this flame thread,... (and the hour) a troll image pops to mind, and I am absolutely not interested in providing any form of entertainment to lifeless idiots that content them selves by polluting the net with provocative remarks on random subject just to stimulate their e-peen.
Unless...
...they got something to feed my interest.
Which now you do. Intriguing! You are right, spot on in fact and it makes me wonder, how can you see that... I rush, simply out of knowing that if I don't finish something in one go, it will die off somewhere at the edges of my desktop and be deleted after a couple of months. I don't believe in references, they make it too easy... it could be a stupid self challenge or laziness to alt tab.
Well done! You have raised some issues I need to think and work on.

haha, actually I understand both your points there. Work that I do often has to be done in a single sitting, if not I end up forgetting about it or even end up losing motivation to finish it off altogether. I also hate using references, it does sort of feel like cheating to look at an image while working on a piece. Which is part of the reason I prefer to do illustrations or even comic book or manga styling. I do of course do the occasional piece of realism to ward off people saying I'm not a "real" artist.

Sorry for coming across as a bit of a dick, I've been having a rough day and guess I took it out on you a lil'.

I don't see any movie critics or music critics that are asked to produce work better than the people they criticise. I do have a collection of realism artwork but unfortunately this website does not have a high demand for such things. I do enjoy manga, even commercial manga, yes but what's not to like? Western culture has always been fascinated and even influenced by art from the east and if I had to choose between a manga styling and western illustration I'd quite often go with the manga.
None of this is really relevant though, the point is I saw a few inaccuracies in your drawing and decided to point them out in the hope that you would take it as friendly advice and perhaps it would help you grow as an artist. Arguing over this or any other little details is kind of pointless, either accept the criticism or just stick with ignoring and focus only on the ego boosting comments like "you're awesome." coming from artists who are for the most part even worse than myself.

dA has plenty of room for realism, leave the fucked up front page, join some decent groups , open your eyes (seriously, you need glasses!)
There is a huge difference between Ukiyo-e that inspired Art-Nouveau/ Jungen Style, and Manga ( but you are an art-critic, why the fuck do I have to tell you that? Ooooh, lala... smells like a fail-critic) Manga, even in Japan is considered as pop-junk-art, it translates as "whimsical drawings", unlike the Ukiyo-e. Also, manga is considered in most EU countries as offensive, promoting sexuality, gay-porn, child rape, incest, gore... etc, so please lets not go there, ok? All the commercial-manga influences are considered in decent Art-Colleges as unhealthy (there is extraordinary manga, I would greatly suggest and praise like by Tsutomu Nihei, but that's not the one that rocks your boat right?).
About your friendly advise, well, I didn't ask for any, did I? dA is not the site where I come looking for critic or advise, just to build a fanbase, basically, yes, for those ego boosting comments. If I want critics, I have a sketchbook on ConceptArt.org. Where critics comes from ARTISTS, who have a proven social status and a bit more experience than a failed Ichigo drawing on their icon and gallery.
Oh and did you notice that you were criticizing a painting of over a year old? lol...
