Description my first project of the year, from my Intro to Sculpture class. the assignment was basically to transform found objects into a piece that responds literally or conceptually to "gravity".

croquet mallets, fishing line, wishbone, glue. juts out horizontally from the wall at eye-level.

something about tension, and a perception centered on the defiance of rationality.

best feedback was that it was mystic, mathematical, and poetic in one. i really appreciate that. We had one week to figure out and execute this project.
hope you like it! it was something new for me..

the feeling is more of an oposite to gravity, but still great work

Shit! That is beautiful!!
I agree with the poetic comment. It's the combination of
weightlessness, triangular composition, and the delicate
lines that give it that sensiblity. As if existing on a parallel
plane of perception.....very spiritual.

I have the song "Right in Two" by TOOL playing in the
background while I'm looking at your piece. It's quite
complimentary.
One of my favourite sculptors, Arthur Ganson, did a piece
with a 'wishbone' that you should take a look at.
He's a kinetic sculptor. [link]

Beautiful and profound work!
take care...drive safely

Thank you so much! Your comments mean a lot to me, I'm glad you can see in it what I do.

That wishbone video is really cool, too.
