Description This is a series of merged photos from the top of Mt. Lincoln. My friend had thought that we had actually been on the top of Mt. Layfette.
We weren't. The reason I was a bit sad was that it meant that the great big mountain you see in this panaroma still needed to be climbed.
We had been climbing for about 3.5 hours up to this point. So the thought of something higher than we were started to seem daunting.
It was actually pretty fun, after we got to the top of it. The top of the Mt. Layfette was about 51 degrees Fahrenheit compared 95 degrees at ground level.
The trip down was pretty nice though. I almost hurt myself really really bad, BUT my reflexes saved me. Someone must have been looking after me that day.
I came within inches of having my head smash against a very sharp and pointy boulder during a fall. I don't know how I caught myself. I just did.

Well tell me what you think.

I know that the colors of the sky/mountain don't match up perfectly. It's just a matter of time.
I'll probably better match them later, but at present I just want to show off what the a view is like, in 360 degrees, on the top of a mountain.

More photos will be forth coming.

P.S. This image is VERY wide so be prepared.

The only way I can think of doing it would be to cut it up into 6 bits and setting each desktop walpaper individually.

nice shot man, you should try and adjust the levels in each pic so it all blends seamlessly. good work

I might one day. It's just a lot of photos and I lack the time/patience at the moment.
Thanks for your nice comment.

I've taken a number of panoramic shots, one a little bit larger than this, and one about the same size. I can relate to how difficult it is to get the image to appear seamless in the end, but I've figure out some ways to get around that in PSCS.

Good shot indeed.

I figure I could probably do a better job on this eventually. I just used the auto photo merge several times to try and get it to look decent. What was the really pain was the fact that the lighting conditions would change so quickly. In the time it took me to take all the photos it went from bright to dark to somewhere in the middle. It just makes it more challeneing then I was willing at the time to try and correct the lighting on all th photos before merging them.

Thanks for the compliment.
