i agree with von-b, the border makes this shot look very professional. I love the sprinkled mountain and the "hint" of a tree to the side. The cold feel to this photo is great and the channel in the foreground adds a brilliant new aspect. Excellent

Excellent composition... the line of the creek draws the eye to the buildings, and at that point the eye naturally continues upward toward the beauty of the peaks above. Well done.

thanks- I spent some time freezing my hands to death composing that shot- try using a digital camera with thick ski gloves on - somehow it just dosnt work..

every shot i see in this series i think its my favourite and this one is no exception. i colud so easily be a postcard because it has so much appeal. a wonderful composition comprising trees, layers of snow, civilisation and rocky mountains, a stream to draw your eye... fantastic through and through

thanks Von B....it does seem to have everything..this is the heart of the valley and it was very cold. I dont think the valley get too much sun as the mountains are rather high..in the winter anyway. There are hot springs here and we had a whale of a time wallowing around in the hot water surrounded by snow
