It's more convenient to assume that the world and is real and that other people are real though.

Indeed, there is no proof that any object or being in this universe is real at all, but in order to live we must assume the "outside" exists, and those who dwell on it. It is one of the reasons why I am agnostic.
I am also agnostic because I have some beliefs, and because I don't like the idea of believing in nothing...
I neither understand the lack of a belief in anything beyond the current scientific theories, and the absolute belief in a single entity and nothing else.
