Can you tell me how to render?

rendering is nothing but blending colors together until you decide they look good enough to move on!

to make your canvas transparent (taking from paint and putting it in sai) go to layer > luminance to transparency!

I could just tell you! They're called jeans, crust, base, bark, spread, acrylic and aquarelleΒ
If you don't have them on your version of sai, though, i can't helpΒ

aaa it's always so interesting to see peoples processes' like this
curious, what size canvas do you usually draw on? people
always seem to be able to draw a lot larger than me so i'm
always curious about it haha

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

parrotte In reply to wytchwoods [2017-08-22 02:26:22 +0000 UTC]

my sketch is usually really tiny and then i just blow it up (usually at least 1500x1200 or so) and work from there!

//eats this up
this is super helpful!! i love the way you incorporate all the different textures
do you have any advice for keeping rendering neat? I always end up making my paintings look muddy

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

parrotte In reply to maailmankaikkeus [2017-08-22 02:25:34 +0000 UTC]

ya!!!! every now and again, go over the messy areas with a sharper, smaller pen to clean them up! make sure the pen isn't heavily textured, though, in order to retain its accuracy <:

maailmankaikkeus In reply to parrotte [2017-08-22 05:49:33 +0000 UTC]

tysm!!! I'll try that next time - thanks for the advice!!
