This is a contest entry for the "Air" Category griffsnuff.deviantart.com/jour…I'd be happy to answer any questions. ^^
These are an open species, and can be made by anyone for free, if you make one please link it here, I'd love to see it.
Some more info:
They love fruit, and will float to the tip top of the trees to find the best fruits.
A female can lay an eggs a day for all the days of the breeding season; which season length is random.

What if someone or something was to puncture a Croixie's gas bladder? Would they be defenseless?

On the ground they are nearly defenseless. They can bite and use their horn to try and ward off predators, but they'd have a slim chance of surviving long on the ground.

Very cute idea! The idea of the dead fall as a display act reminds of how many birds of prey breed or show off. The thought of seeing a little dragon-like creature floating by made me smile.
