Ha.. You know, I've never played that game, and have absolutely no connection with the characters. I see them pop up here and there on the internet, and I'm mildly curious about who they are( Now I know.) but that's it.
I definitely would not be a good choice for this since I just don't know anything about that game.
I did watch the video though and some of the pages you have popping up while you are talking look really good!!

Sure... I think it's an ok way to learn something, but you also risk getting stuck with a "look" that is not you... and that you don't necessarily understand.
It's fine to do this at the beginning though because it helps you find directions in which to go which is always hard when you are starting out

Color-wise, I don't think I've found a definite style yet or mood I'm comfortable with. I tried experimenting various methods for a couple of years now but nothing really sticks to me.
But overall, your work just blows my mind and I throughly enjoy trying to recapture the "magic" I see in my favorite pieces and artists - I try to add a little of my own touch too so I don't do it primarily for learning purposes.
